Project Place is one of six nonprofits selected
to receive support and resources valued at $150,000

Boston, MA (January 4, 2020) – The Social Innovation Forum (SIF) has selected Industry Training Reentry Replication Model, a program of Project Place, to participate in SIF’s 2021 “Social Innovator Accelerator,” a 24-month capacity-building program that helps nonprofit organizations gain visibility, expand their networks, and connect with philanthropic and in-kind resources to accelerate their work.

As a 2021 Social Innovator, Project Place will receive access to more than $150,000 of cash and in-kind services, including remote training, coaching, and consulting, from SIF and its partners. SIF selected Industry Training Reentry Replication Model, from a pool of 103 applicants based on its unique approach to addressing the needs of individuals re-entering the community after a period of incarceration.

“We extend a warm welcome to these six innovative nonprofits,” said Susan Musinsky, Executive Director of the Social Innovation Forum. “They are now part of the SIF community and we look forward to providing them with the support and access to resources they need to pivot and take their work to the next level over the next 24 months.”

Beth Carter, Director of Reentry at Project Place said, “We are honored to be invited to participate in the Social Innovation Forum’s community. The reentry team at Project Place and I are excited for the opportunity to use this platform to expand and increase the depth of services we provide citizens returning to the community from incarceration. Additionally, we look forward to learning from and growing with the other agencies that have been selected to participate in the 2021 Social Innovator cohort.”
