Project Place is pleased to announce the newest member of our Board of Directors, Kris MacAuslan. Kris is a Director of Communications and Change Management at PwC. She has 15 years of experience working with executives to inspire others toward a higher purpose. Kris was recruited through our partnership with BoardLead Cause Strategy Partners, an organization that provides pro-bono services to place and train professionals for high-impact nonprofit board service. Kris’s background, passions and expertise were a perfect fit for Project Place as we launch our 5-year Strategic Plan. We are delighted to have Kris join our board.
Kris says, “Growing up in Brockton, MA, the City of Champions, I had phenomenal personal opportunities to excel, but I also saw how even the bravest individuals in my community struggled to break out of poverty. As I’ve traveled more professionally, I’ve seen that same disparity of prosperity and poverty across our country. Even before the pandemic, I was determined that 2020 would be the year that I’d pursue board service. When I learned about Project Place — and their comprehensive approach to provide clients with job training, opportunity, resources, and hope — I knew I had found my ‘place’ to give back. I am honored to serve on this board and look forward to working with the agency to help our clients invest in themselves and transform our community…one life at a time.”
