It was 90 degrees by 9am, yet Project Place golfers still teed off in the blazing sun this July at Indian Pond Country Club in Kingston in support of our programs and services. The 18th annual event helped raise over $40,000 for Project Place programs and services, and provided a fun (and hot!) round for all, including players Angela Menino, Executive Director Suzanne Kenney, and sponsor teams from Eastern Bank, Boston BID, RR Donnelly, and John Moriarty & Associates.
After all rounds were complete, golfers convened in the Blackstones Room overlooking the course for lunch, awards, and an address from Project Place graduate Tom Walker.
This year, team McGrath took home top prize, and winners of raffle prizes walked away with fantastic giveaways including a weekend getaway to Martha’s Vineyard, and a round of golf at The Country Club in Brookline. Thanks to all our sponsors, golfers, and donors—we couldn’t have done it without you!

- “I was able to use skills acquired at Project Place to land a better opportunity for myself…. working in the construction field finally led me to realize what I would like to do with my life. In summary, when I look back, the impact that Project Place has had in my life has been immeasurable.” – Tom Walker, Project Place graduate and 2016 golf tournament participant
