Alex Carlino – Reentry Instructor
“I graduated from Emmanuel College in 2013 with a major in Sociology specialized in Crime and Justice and a minor in Spanish. I have spent most of my professional career working in different correctional institutions on grant funded programming and in different human services capacities. I came to Project Place for the ability to work with recently released inmates and those who will be transitioning into the community. Project Place, in conjunction with the U.S. Department of Labor, has received a reentry grant focusing on employment that allows us to offer a classroom based course for inmates at Suffolk County House of Correction before they are released and enrolled in our community based program. I am inspired daily by our clients strength to persevere given their current situations. I am an avid Netflix binger, salsa dancer, traveler, and street foodie. I am passionate about social justice and equality.”
