When clients come to us, their familiarity with computers varies considerably. Some are comfortable with digital technology, but many are not. It’s essential for any job seeker to have a basic level of digital literacy, and that’s why we teach those skills in our workforce development classes. Thanks to a generous grant from the Richard & Susan Smith Family Foundation, we were able to purchase 30 new Chromebooks, a Chromebook cart, and an interactive Smart Projector for use in our Work Ready program. With these additional resources, we’ve added online credentialing to our curriculum and more robust training through interactive learning.
