Notable author, poet and playwright, Nick Flynn, spoke at Project Place in November. A native of the South Shore, Nick’s memoir, Another Bulls***t Night in Suck City, chronicles his experience reconnecting with his estranged father while working at a homeless shelter in Boston. Nick entertained the large crowd with some readings from his book. Most importantly, he stressed the importance of breaking down stereotypes of individuals experiencing homeless.
