Thanks to the generosity of an anonymous donor, many of the men and women working at Project Place’s social enterprises and their family members now have warm winter boots in time for Boston’s snowy season. Project Place distributed over 120 boots to clients, including those working at Project Pepsi, Clean Corners and Working Opportunities for Women (W.O.W.). In addition to adult winter boots, Project Place received and distributed children’s boots.
“The men and women enrolled in our programs are dedicated to attending our Work-Ready classes and gaining job skills in our social enterprises, no matter what the weather,” says Suzanne Kenney, executive director at Project Place. “This donation will not only help our clients to get through the winter, it’ll help them stay on track to advance in their careers, helping them to build more stable lives.”
