Project Place is proud to have CREW program recognized by US Attorney General Loretta Lynch
Project Place’s CREW Program, delivered in partnership with the Suffolk County Sheriff’s Department, received national attention this week from the Justice Department, for services provided to incarcerated individuals.
Although there are reentry programs across the 50 states, US Attorney General Loretta Lynch visited Suffolk County this month to learn more about the “tremendous success” these programs have had in reducing recidivism by providing education, job training, life skills and case management on-site.
AG Lynch credits the case managers and staff for their tireless efforts in creating a “sense of community” for incarcerated individuals and says this is something they hope to replicate in other programs nationally.
