Wednesday, July 28th, 2021 at 2:30 – 4:00 pm ET, Online Event
The Boston Coalition for Homeless Individuals (Boston Health Care for the Homeless, Pine Street Inn, Project Place and St. Francis House) joined forces to bring together Boston’s mayoral candidates to discuss solutions to drive progress for solving homelessness and creating more affordable housing in Boston. The forum, entitled “Pathways Out of Homelessness,” was moderated by Marcela García, op-ed columnist and editorial member of The Boston Globe.
Ahead of the Boston 2021 Mayoral election, the candidates came together to share their expert opinions on how to solve Boston’s most pressing issues specific to homelessness and permanent affordable housing. They expressed their perspectives and proposed solutions for reducing the rate of homelessness in the city. In addition to moderator García, individuals experiencing homelessness from Boston agencies serving this population had their voices heard as they posed questions to the candidates.
